FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my image stored on the server?

The image is sent to the server for background removal, then discarded after processing. No shareable URL is created.

Can I use the result commercially?

Yes, for both personal and commercial use. Rights to the cutout remain with the owner of the original image. Only use images you own or have permission to use, including copyright and portrait rights.

Can it preserve details such as hair?

Hair, fur, and translucent objects such as glass are also processed automatically. If background remains, use the Erase brush. If too much was removed, or you want to keep part of the background, use the Restore brush to bring the original image back.

What is the difference between transparent PNG and WebP?

Both formats support transparency. PNG uses lossless compression and offers the widest compatibility. WebP usually creates a smaller file and is well suited to websites. Choose the format that fits your use.

Can I refine the result with a brush?

Brush controls appear above the cutout result. Erase makes an area transparent, and Restore brings the original image back. For fine details, switch to fullscreen and zoom in with the mouse wheel. You can undo and redo edits.

Can I use an HEIC image from an iPhone?

HEIC and HEIF are not supported directly. Convert the image to JPEG or PNG with the Image Format Converter before adding it here.

What are the image limits?

Each file can be up to 20 MiB and 6480 × 5120 pixels. Reduce larger images with the Image Compressor first.
