Frequently Asked Questions
What if the permission prompt does not appear?
If you blocked the camera before, the browser does not ask again. Allow the camera with the steps shown after the test, then select Test again. Device or organization settings may also turn the camera off.
Can this show the exact camera model?
The name comes from your operating system and browser. It may omit the product name or model number.
Is the resolution list complete?
No. The tool shows the video it actually receives and the ranges visible to the browser, not every mode supported by the camera.
Why is the frame rate lower than the setting?
In low light, many cameras lengthen the exposure, which lowers the frame rate. Adding light often helps. Other apps using the camera can also lower it.
What if the camera will not open?
Another app may be using the camera. Close meeting apps, reconnect the camera, then select Test again.
